Before You Leave (1-2 Weeks Out)

Start with these items well before departure. Booking early gives you the best hotel options and rates.

Planning checklist:

  • Confirm tournament venue, dates, and brackets
  • Read stay-to-play and housing requirements
  • Book hotel room blocks (contact sales team directly)
  • Confirm breakfast hours with hotel
  • Arrange transportation (bus, carpool, or individual)
  • Check parking availability and costs at hotel and venue
  • Stock up on snacks, sports drinks, and team meals
  • Share itinerary, addresses, and emergency contacts
  • Pack team first aid kit
  • Confirm room assignments and key distribution plan

Team Packing List

Each family should pack these essentials:

Player packing list:

  • Uniforms (home and away) for all possible games
  • Cleats and backup cleats
  • Practice clothes
  • Toiletries and personal items
  • Phone charger and power bank
  • Snacks and water bottle
  • Cash for concessions and incidentals
  • Copy of tournament schedule
  • Team jersey for casual wear

Arrival Day

Check in as a group if possible. The hotel can pre-key all rooms and have welcome packets ready. Hold a brief team meeting to review the next day schedule, confirm transportation, and set expectations.

Game Day

On game day, stick to the routine:

Game day checklist:

  • Eat breakfast at the hotel (confirm it opens early enough)
  • Leave 30 minutes earlier than you think you need
  • Bring all uniforms, water, snacks, and first aid
  • Have the venue address and parking info ready
  • Assign a parent volunteer for scorekeeping or sidelines
  • Plan post-game meal location in advance
  • Use hotel pool or common areas for recovery between games
