Recommended Hotels
We recommend the Flamingo Crossings Town Center hotels in Orlando. This master-planned area near Disney has four excellent options: Home2 Suites, Homewood Suites, Residence Inn, and Fairfield Inn. All offer suites with kitchens, free breakfast, and are 10 minutes from ESPN Wide World of Sports.
Hotels to Avoid for Tournament Teams
Some hotels look attractive because of low nightly rates but have hidden costs or lack essential amenities. Resort hotels with high daily fees, budget motels without kitchens or reliable WiFi, and properties far from the venue with bad traffic should all be approached with caution.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best hotel for youth sports teams in Orlando?+
Home2 Suites by Hilton at Flamingo Crossings is our top pick. It offers full kitchens, free breakfast from 6:30 AM, pool with slides, on-site laundry, and is 10 minutes from ESPN Wide World of Sports.
Should tournament teams book suites or standard rooms?+
Suites are almost always better for tournament teams. Full kitchens save on dining, separate living areas give families space, and sofa beds accommodate extra players.
How close should the hotel be to the tournament venue?+
Aim for under 15 minutes drive time. Consider actual traffic patterns on game-day mornings, not just map distance. Hotels near ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando are ideal for Disney-area tournaments.
